Steam Quick®
Steam Quick® is our patented film designed to cook with steam. These proprietary films produce a hermetically-sealed package that utilizes microwave energy and steam maintained at a consistent pressure to optimize the cooking process. Even better, Steam Quick® is safe; unlike other solutions, its vents virtually reclose once the cook cycle ends. This minimizes leaks and prevents hot juices from spilling out. Typical applications include cooking frozen vegetables, starches, and frozen pre-cooked proteins and meals.
Steam Quick® performs well, too. Unique materials and vent configuration allow Steam Quick® to maintain more consistent pressure and temperature. Meats, cheeses, butters, and sauces tend to create hot spots in other cook-in packaging – but not with Steam Quick®. In addition to reliable in-bag steaming, our films are exceptional at preserving color, texture, and nutritional content.
Available in two configurations, Steam Quick® is FDA approved for cooking temperatures up to 265°. Films featuring Steam Quick® technology are stiff and are machinable on typical VFFS packaging lines.
