Steam Quick®
Steam Quick® is our patented film designed to cook with steam. These proprietary films produce a hermetically-sealed package that utilizes microwave energy and steam maintained at a consistent pressure to optimize the cooking process. Even better, Steam Quick® is safe; unlike other solutions, its vents virtually reclose once the cook cycle ends. This minimizes leaks and prevents hot juices from spilling out. Typical applications include cooking frozen vegetables, starches, and frozen, pre-cooked proteins and meals.
UltraFilm
Developed in-house at ABX, UltraFilm forming and non-forming materials are designed for challenging deep draw forming and high abuse applications. It performs exceptionally well, forming difficult draw ratio pockets for products such as hamburger patties, meat sticks, and string cheese. UltraFilm replaces the material cost and labor for meat processors to wrap their bone-in cuts with an added protective layer. With its robust design, UltraFilm provides excellent puncture resistance and downgauge options that deliver additional cost savings. UltraFilm is sustainable, too, by offering enhanced barrier properties at lower thickness levels, reducing the amount of plastic going to our landfills.
Sous Vide
Our sous vide technology has proven superior in the industry. We can provide sous vide films for various other cook-in products, such as proteins, vegetables, and potatoes. Options for sous vide packaging include high and standard barrier cook-in films in thickness options from three to 13 mils. Designed for shallow and deep draw applications with excellent clarity and toughness, our sous vide films are available in both barrier and non-barrier configurations and either peelable or lock seal finishes.
Chub Packaging Film
Define your chub package appearance and performance with one of our standard chub films. Our chub films combine the unique attributes of standard components in up to 10-color reverse-print structures, creating an exceptional barrier for your product. These films deliver the robustness necessary to withstand rough packaging and distribution processes while providing the required barrier performance to optimize shelf life. Typical product applications include retail, institutional, and food service markets for pork sausage, ground beef, pet food, polenta, cornmeal hash, and cookie dough.
